Perth, the capital and largest city in Western Australia, is often referred to as one of the most liveable cities in the world. The year-round sunshine and its location between the Swan River and a number of extensive sandy beaches makes the city a popular destination for travellers and settlers alike.
The city is also often referred to as one of the most isolated metropolitan settlement in the world. Being nearly one and a half thousand miles away from the nearest large city, Adelaide, this makes it a difficult city to reach with ease.
As road or rail travel to Perth is long and laborious, the quickest and easiest mode of travel for national and international travellers is to fly. For those wishing to travel from one side of the vast country of Australia to the other, fortunately there are a large number of domestic and international operators providing cheap Perth to Sydney flights.
The two thousand five hundred miles that separate these major Australian cities can be comfortably covered in a plane within five hours. In contrast, this would take, at best, a painstaking and uncomfortable two days when travelling by car or by rail.
